Cast iron is very sensitive to moisture. Over time, traces of rust can appear on the edges of your cookware.
Therefore, your cast iron cookware is best stored in a dry cupboard.
If items are to be stored for a long period of time:
- Place a paper towel between the lid and casserole to absorb moisture.
- Rub cooking oil over the inside and sides of the pan after you have cleaned and dried the pan thoroughly. Wipe away any excess oil with a paper towel.
