Discoloration and white spots seem to appear in your stainless-steel pan. When stains appear on the bottom of your stainless-steel pan, this is usually the so-called rainbow discoloration. These stains do not affect the pan's performance and can be removed. It is a reaction of the stainless steel with lime from the water or salt and calcium present in the water and the detergent. The discoloration can also be caused by starchy ingredients such as pasta, potatoes and several vegetables.
Solution:
These discolorations are completely harmless and are easy to remove by cleaning the pan with cleaning vinegar and a dish brush. In case this does not work, we advise to clean the pan with a stainless-steel cleaning product.
