How to avoid and eliminate stains on your induction hob?

There are various causes of 'stains' on an induction hob e.g., a new pan on a new hob, possibly in combination with overheating, or if moisture gets under the pans during cooking. We therefore advise to check if the induction hob and the bottom of the pan are clean and dry before using them.

How to remove the stains:

  • Option 1: Heat the affected area slightly with a normal cooking pan. Heat the cooking zone briefly at setting 1 or 2. You can then use a microfiber cleaning cloth and special cooktop cleaner or some washing-up liquid to remove the stain.
  • Option 2: A melamine sponge, also known as the miracle sponge. The melamine sponge works in combination with water. The water activates the so-called 'micro scrubbers'. With a little patience when polishing, all the accumulated dirt will be removed. Repeat this process several times. Do not use a cleaning detergent as this will lubricate the surface and make the sponge less effective. You can find this type of sponge in the bigger supermarkets or drugstores with cleaning utilities.
